From the sweeping landscapes of Dune to the battlefields of Gladiator, the music associated with Hans Zimmer has helped shape some of cinema's most powerful moments. Experience those unforgettable film themes live when the European Symphonic Orchestra & Choir comes to Blackpool's Opera House on Tuesday 24 November 2026.
This symphonic concert celebrates music from films including Interstellar, Inception, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Dark Knight and The Lion King, together with other favourites from the world of film. A full orchestra joins a choir, solo vocalists and contemporary instruments including electric guitars, bass, keyboards and drums.
Lighting effects, appearances inspired by familiar screen characters and a promised special film guest add to the cinematic atmosphere. Whether you love epic action scores or the quieter, emotional side of film music, this is a chance to enjoy famous themes in the concert hall rather than on a cinema soundtrack.
Performance: Tuesday 24 November 2026 at 8:00pm (doors 7:30pm). Venue: Opera House, Winter Gardens Blackpool. Tickets: £33.35–£73.35, subject to availability.
Making a day of film music? The same venue hosts The Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit – A Symphonic Experience at 4:00pm that afternoon.
