A trip to the theatre becomes a prehistoric expedition when Dinosaur World Live arrives at Blackpool Grand Theatre on Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 June 2027.
This interactive family production uses large-scale puppetry to give its dinosaurs movement, character and a commanding stage presence. Young dinosaur enthusiasts can encounter a Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops, Giraffatitan, Microraptor and Segnosaurus as the adventure unfolds.
For children who spend hours poring over dinosaur books, it is a chance to see those familiar creatures take on a different dimension. The show combines theatrical storytelling with opportunities for audience interaction, making the dinosaurs part of a shared adventure.
The production includes a short meet and greet after the performance, giving young explorers an opportunity for a closer encounter with one of its prehistoric characters.
Dinosaur World Live won the 2024 Olivier Award for Best Family Show. It is recommended for ages three and above, with a performance lasting approximately 50 minutes followed by a 15-minute meet and greet.
