Magic shows in Blackpool: what can you see?
Choose the style of magic that suits your visit. House of Secrets is best for an intimate, interactive experience; High Jinx is a family-friendly stage and illusion production; The Evolution of Magic is a bigger evening illusion show, although its announced 2026 Blackpool dates have finished. In February 2027, the city also welcomes the Blackpool Magic Convention.
1. Russ Brown’s House of Secrets – close-up magic
Where: 105 Church Street, Blackpool FY1 1HU. Best for: close-up magic, couples, families and visitors who want audience interaction.
House of Secrets is a small, dedicated magic venue in central Blackpool. Russ Brown’s shows bring the action close to the audience rather than relying on large-scale effects. The venue also hosts visiting magicians and occasional special events. Its official programme lists selected dates for the House of Secrets Magic Show through 31 December 2026, but that date range does not mean a performance takes place every day. Check the calendar for individual bookable sessions and age guidance.
View House of Secrets performances and tickets (official venue website).
2. High Jinx at the Blackpool Tower – family magic and illusions
Where: Blackpool Tower Circus, Promenade, Blackpool FY1 4BJ. Best for: families, daytime entertainment and spectacular illusions.
Created by magician and illusionist Michael Jordan, High Jinx combines magic, escapology, juggling and circus-style variety in a show of around 90 minutes. The Blackpool Tower’s published schedule includes 14, 15, 28 and 29 November 2026 at 2.30pm, plus selected dates in December and early January. The venue currently advertises £12.95 per adult and £10.95 per child on its High Jinx event page; availability and prices may change.
Check High Jinx dates and book at the Blackpool Tower (official venue website).
3. The Evolution of Magic – evening illusion show
Where: The Horseshoe, Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Best for: visitors seeking a theatrical evening of illusions, stage magic and audience participation.
Craig Christian and Elizabeth Best, a Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist, have performed The Evolution of Magic at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Their most recently advertised Blackpool run ended on 30 October 2026. We have not found a confirmed new Blackpool performance date, so do not make plans around an assumed 2027 season. Check the official production website for any newly announced return dates.

4. Blackpool Magic Convention – 18–21 February 2027
Where: Winter Gardens and Opera House, Blackpool. Best for: magic fans, enthusiasts and visitors interested in specialist performances, lectures and international acts.
Blackpool Magic Convention returns on 18–21 February 2027, bringing magicians from around the world to the Winter Gardens. Expect gala performances, close-up magic, talks and specialist events. Announced highlights include Siegfried & Joy on Friday 19 February and Arturo Brachetti’s SOLO at the Opera House on Saturday 20 February 2027. Some convention activities may require registration or separate tickets, so check the official booking arrangements before travelling.

Which Blackpool magic show should you choose?
- With young children: consider High Jinx, then confirm the show’s age and sensory guidance with the Tower.
- For close-up magic: try House of Secrets, where the intimate setting is a big part of the experience.
- For a dramatic evening illusion show: watch for future Evolution of Magic dates.
- For serious magic fans: consider the February 2027 Blackpool Magic Convention, including its separately advertised stage shows.
- For a rainy afternoon: check High Jinx matinees and other indoor entertainment in the What’s On in Blackpool This Week guide.
Tips for booking magic show tickets
- Check individual dates: a production’s advertised season is not necessarily a daily run.
- Compare total costs: check whether your booking includes service fees and if child tickets have different rates.
- Read age and access information: some visiting acts may be adults-only, and stage effects can include loud noises or flashing lights.
- Plan your route: House of Secrets and Winter Gardens are in the town centre, while Blackpool Pleasure Beach is farther south. See our Blackpool Visitor Map for locations around town.
