In The Night Garden Live Returns to Blackpool

The smash-hit In the Night Garden Live, which is celebrating its 16th birthday, will return to the Opera House Blackpool stage on July 16th and 17th 2025. Take a magnificent voyage into the magical world of In the Night Garden, the UK’s favourite family production, and witness all of the captivating characters come to life on stage.

In the Night Garden Live is an excellent musical theatrical experience for the whole family. Children’s favourite CBeebies stars, Igglepiggle, Upsy Daisy, Makka Pakka, and pals, are delightfully brought to life in a specially crafted narrative, Igglepiggle’s Busy Day, which features full-size characters, amazing puppets, and captivating music and dance.

This adorable classic, which debuted in 2010 before becoming a summer entertainment staple, is a perennial favourite with pre-schoolers and their parents. The highly praised show has been seen by over 1.2 million people, cementing its status as a must-see first theatre experience for young children.

The 2025 tour will also include the incredible flying Pinky Ponk, which flies over the heads of In the Night Garden Live audiences – the first time such an effect has been employed in a theatre in the United Kingdom. The Pinky Ponk employs cutting-edge, patented aerodynamic technology developed by the specialist German company Airstage, which has designed and built similar Air Orbs all over the world, including for the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics and the Radio City Musical Hall Christmas Spectacular in New York.

Helen Eastman (writer of Bing Live) wrote In the Night Garden Live, which is based on Andrew Davenport’s television series Wildbrain. The show is produced by Minor Entertainment under licence from Wildbrain and directed by Will Tuckett, an accomplished Royal Ballet choreographer and director.
